From activity one i learned different materials heat up at different rates. We placed water, soil, and snow under a heat lamp and we measured the rate at which the temp. went up. The water was the slowest to go up, it only went up .1 every two min. The soil was the fastest to go up, it went up about .4 every two min. The snow stayed the same throughout the whole thing. We also measured the temp. of each material as we let it cool. The water was the fastest to cool, the soil heated up a little and the snow stayed the same.
This activity relates to my topic by they both have to do with warming a surface. In the activity we warmed the materials and the greenhouse effect, it warms the earths surface.
